Location: Charlotte, NC

Shift: Overnight (Full-Time)

Sheepdog Protective Services is seeking a dedicated and professional Unarmed Security Guard to provide overnight security at a recreational facility  in Charlotte, NC . This position is responsible for access control from a guard booth, monitoring facility entrances, and ensuring a safe environment for staff and visitors .

The ideal candidate is reliable, observant, and customer-service oriented , with a strong commitment to maintaining security protocols while providing a professional presence.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Access Control & Visitor Management

• Monitor and control entry and exit points at the guard booth.
• Verify credentials  before granting access.
• Enforce facility policies regarding authorized personnel and vehicles .

✅ Surveillance & Security Monitoring

• Conduct routine patrols of facility perimeter (if needed).
• Utilize security cameras, radios, and reporting systems to monitor activity.
• Report any suspicious behavior, trespassing, or policy violations .

✅ Incident Response & Reporting

• Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, or emergencies .
• Document and report all incidents, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences .
• Assist local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary.

✅ Customer Service & Professionalism

• Provide a welcoming and secure presence for visitors and staff.
• Communicate professionally and de-escalate potential conflicts .
• Follow all post orders and company policies to maintain security integrity.

Qualifications & Requirements:

🔹 Must be at least 18 years old  
🔹 High school diploma or GED required
🔹 Previous security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred
🔹 Valid state security guard license/certification (will certify the right applicant)
🔹 Ability to stand, walk, or remain stationary for extended periods
🔹 Strong attention to detail and ability to remain alert during overnight shifts
🔹 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
🔹 Reliable transportation to/from the facility
🔹 Must pass a background check and drug screening
