Position Title: Travel Sonographer

Location: San Luis Obispo, CA

Department/Unit: Imaging Services

Shift: Day Shift (7 AM start)

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Salary Range: $40 - $50 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Travel Sonographer to join our imaging team in San Luis Obispo, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience in both adult and pediatric echocardiography, as well as vascular ultrasound. This position will primarily cover vacations and provide care in a supportive environment, offering an exciting opportunity to make an impact in patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality echocardiograms for adult and pediatric patients, including Pediatric ECHO and Adult ECHO.
• Conduct vascular ultrasound examinations, ensuring accurate and timely assessments.
• Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and ensure proper maintenance and functionality.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to interpret ultrasound results and assist in developing care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures performed and patient information.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory standards in imaging services.

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in echocardiography and vascular ultrasound preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric echocardiography techniques and protocols.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
