STATE PARK INTERPRETER I (PERMANENT INTERMITTENT) – SANTA CRUZ DISTRICT / SAN MATEO COAST / AÑO NUEVO STATE PARK
The reporting location for this position is Año Nuevo State Park in Pescadero, CA. This position will work under the supervision of State Park Interpreter III.
The State Park Interpreter I is responsible for duties related to the interpretive needs of Año Nuevo State Park. Oversee and support the volunteer program, coordinate the equal access program, develop and provide interpretation and education programs for public visitors, K-12 students and teachers including virtual field trips, facilitating outreach opportunities to build and maintain collaborative relationships, planning special events, cleaning and maintaining visitor center exhibits and artifacts, as well as assisting with the care and maintenance of the museum collections.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.
The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
This position may work up to 1500 hours in any calendar year.
This position is designated as not telework eligible.
