Job Description

Sienna Premier Aquatics, located in Missouri City, TX, is seeking passionate, experienced, and positive full time assistant coaches to work primarily in their age group program. These positions will start as soon as possible. SPA is a club of 150+ swimmers practicing out of two outdoor short course pools, and one indoor long course pool. Our mission is to develop champions for life through a goal oriented, developmentally appropriate program encompassing the "WHOLE" person. This is achieved through an empowered organization focused on excellence and quality.

Coaching Requirements

  1. Current USA Swimming Coaches Certification or ability to achieve such prior to starting.
  2. Background in competitive swimming.
  3. Experience using Team Unify, Team Manager and Meet Manager.
  4. Desire to pursue continuing education and make coaching a career.
  5. Strong knowledge of swimming technique, training methods, teaching methods and communication methods effective with young athletes.
  6. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  7. Desire to work within a team of committed coaches to achieve excellence as a staff and team.
  8. Excels on and off the deck.

 

Coaching Duties 

1.     Develop and execute training plans for assigned training groups.

2.     Oversee training for the Masters, Developmental, and Competitive training groups to which you are assigned.

3.     Select all individual and relay events at swim meets for athletes in assigned training groups as directed by the Head Coach.

4.     Responsible for the behavior, discipline, and actions of athletes during practices, competitions, and other organized team activities.

5.     Establish an environment that fosters positive individual and team attitudes, encourages self-discipline, sportsmanship, and responsibility.

6.     Abide by all club policies.

7.     Maintain attendance records for all assigned training groups.

8.     Assist in marketing and fundraising efforts as needed and directed.

9.     Complete assigned tasks / jobs by the Head Coach.
