Job Description

Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (Travel Assignment)

Location: Falmouth, MA

Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule: 40 hours/week | Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $64 – $68 per hour

Position Summary

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse delivers high-quality patient care through comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and adherence to professional nursing standards and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process

  • Administer and monitor patient responses to medications and treatments

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient documentation

  • Communicate assessment findings and care plans to interdisciplinary teams

  • Serve as charge nurse when assigned and act as a clinical resource for staff

  • Utilize computerized nursing and clinical information systems effectively

  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and care evaluation initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff

  • Participate in required meetings, education, and professional development

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by nursing leadership

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience

  • Minimum 1 year of ER travel nursing experience

  • Active Massachusetts RN license

  • BLS and ACLS certifications (required)

  • Successful completion of pharmacology and basic arrhythmia competency exams

  • Strong IV skills, including IV starts, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring

Preferred Qualifications
  • De-escalation Certification

  • TNCC, ENPC, and PALS certifications
