The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. HJF is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to support the Extremity Trauma & Amputation Center of Excellence (EACE). HJF provides scientific, technical, and programmatic support services to the EACE. The Postdoctoral Fellow will be responsible for supporting collaborative and multidisciplinary research projects focused on long-term outcomes following extremity trauma, with an emphasis on human-device interaction and musculoskeletal health.
EACE is the leading advocate for research and treatment of Service members and veterans with extremity trauma and amputation, with a mission to conduct clinically relevant research, foster collaboration, and build partnerships to optimize the quality of life of Service members and Veterans. In line with the congressionally directed mission of the EACE, the research efforts undertaken focus on the mitigation, treatment, and rehabilitation of traumatic extremity injuries and amputations with a specific focus on translating findings into clinical practice to improve the care of injured Service members and Veterans. This position will support ongoing research activities within the EACE portfolio at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Note, US Citizenship and a personnel security background investigation are required.
