Position Summary: Co-trainer of the Understanding and Responding to Child Trauma and Secondary Traumatic Stress/officer wellness curriculums for Rhode Island law enforcement. This includes developing content, assisting with local training logistics, and facilitating virtual and in-person training of law enforcement on child trauma and co-response. Family Service of Rhode Island serves as an ongoing resource for law enforcement across the nation interested in becoming trauma-informed, implementing FSRI’s GO TEAM® co-responder best practice model, and partnering with community-based organizations to mitigate the effects of childhood trauma exposure and reduce the risk of revictimization.
