Job Description

Greene Towne Montessori School, located in Center City, Philadelphia, is dedicated to providing a stimulating learning environment for children ages 18 months through 9 years, consistent with the values and principles developed by Dr. Maria Montessori. Fully accredited by the American Montessori Society and the Pa. Association of Independent Schools, Greene Towne Montessori School instills in young children an understanding of learning as a personal process, a sense of agency in building self and community, and the joy of possibility.

Now in its 59th year, Greene Towne recently moved into a new facility in its Logan Square neighborhood. The three-floor building and expansive roof playdeck features spacious classrooms specifically designed and outfitted for our program.

Title: Administrative Assistant / PM Receptionist, Greene Towne Montessori School

  • Greene Towne Montessori School is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Administrative Assistant / PM Receptionist of Greene Towne Montessori School. The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the School’s Senior Administration and is the receptionist for the school daily from 4:00-6:00 pm. This person is detail oriented, a people person, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable using and designing systems for the efficient flow of school life.
  • Qualifications: Transferable experience in educational or non-profit settings preferred. Highly developed organizational skills and superior communication skills, both oral and written. Outstanding interpersonal skills are essential. Exercise utmost confidentiality and professional discretion. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks while maintaining a positive attitude. Ability to work as a self-starting individual and in a team environment. Experience using Microsoft Office suite, Google Suite, and basic tech troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with databases a plus.
