STATE PARK INTERPRETER II (PERMANENT INTERMITTENT)– SIERRA DISTRICT/LAKE SECTOR NORTH/DONNER MEMORIAL STATE PARK.
The State Park Interpreter II works under the direction of the State Park Interpreter III. The reporting location for this position is the Visitor Center at Donner Memorial State Park.
Sierra District is recruiting a State Park Interpreter II. This position reports to beautiful Donner Memorial State Park located on the eastern end of Donner Lake in the Sierra Nevada town of Truckee, CA. Donner Memorial State Park has a vibrant volunteer program, a cutting edge Visitor's Center, a historic monument, camping, lake activities, miles of hiking trails, and a busy special events program.
The State Park Interpreter II will serve as the Visitor Center Coordinator at Donner Memorial State Park and will be responsible for the coordination of the following interpretive responsibilities at Donner Memorial State Park: lead person to recruit, hire, train and manage volunteers to assist with the operation of the Visitor Center; provide high quality interpretive, educational and school group programs; assist in the management of special events at the unit. The State Park Interpreter II may be assigned to assist other park units in Sierra District.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered
This position is designated as not telework eligible. This position requires a valid Class C driver’s license. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application.
