STATE PARK INTERPRETER I (PI) / BAY AREA DISTRICT / SONOMA DEVELOPMENTAL CENTER

This position will serve as the lead interpreter and work directly with park interpretive and operations staff and with diverse public audiences and constituents. The reporting location for this position is 15000 Arnold Dr, Eldridge, CA 95431.Under the supervision of the State Park Interpreter III, the State Park Interpreter I will have the unique opportunity to play a vital role in the development of a new park property. This position will be responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating both internal and external partnership and community engagement and public programming activities necessary to create high-quality and relevant State Park visitor interpretive experiences at the newly aquired property at the location of the Sonoma Developmental Center and other district units as assigned. They will present themselves in a positive manner representing California State Parks' community engagement and public interpretive programs at Bay Area District.

The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
