We are partnered with a personal care manufacturer seeking an experienced R&D Chemist who is well versed in formulating products such as mouth wash, toothpaste, & feminine hygiene care.

Ideal candidate has extensive product formulation and production troubleshooting knowledge. Experience of working with enzymes is a must.

Daily activities of a qualified candidate will include but are not limited to:

• A good understanding of enzymes, chemical structure, compounds and chemical formulas and formulations
• Accept new custom formulation / R&D projects, source raw materials needed, and be clear and responsive to manager.
• Formulate new products following client's instructions in a timely manner.
• Enhance existing formulations and optimize final formulations with new innovative methods and ingredients.
• Maintain contact with current raw material suppliers and initiate relationships with new raw material suppliers, keeping quality and cost as a priority.
• Establish bulk and Finish Product specifications.
• Make changes to batch records and keep track of all findings.
• Author/review R&D Product Development Reports.
• Create MSDS and COA for each formulated product.
• Create Proposed Master Batch and Fill records.
• Keep detailed records of all work in laboratory software and physical files.
• Follow up and keep track on all testing necessary for batch release.
• Work independently and have excellent time management skill to meet project deadlines.
• Follow the project timeline and alert the team of any changes.
• Take initiative and gather all necessary paperwork for successful product development.
• Follow cGMP and work closely with QC, QA and Production.
• Contribute to and facilitate gathering data for regulatory filings.
