Production Planner II job at SGS Consulting Massachusetts, US

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Collects and organizes data for analysis.
Analyzes sales forecasts for assigned direct sales materials.
Generates production schedules and raw material requirements.
Releases production work orders to Manufacturing.
Analyzes sales performance and establish Production and QC priorities.
Maintains inventory to achieve assigned levels.
Participates in the transfer of new products from research and development to Mfg.
Ensures that internal departments are kept abreast of work order status, inventory levels and projects.
Ensures compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
Maintains work center schedules to ensure proper jobs are scheduled and capacity limitations are understood and communicated when necessary.

Skills:

SQL & Python & Power BI, Advanced Excel, Oracle
- Typically requires BA or BS
Experience:
- 2-5 years related experience

Education/Experience:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the basic knowledge, skills, and or abilities required.
Working knowledge of MRP2 and computerized inventory control system.
Extensive knowledge of material master maintenance, BOM’s, routings and or recipes and work centers.
Knowledge of cost accounting fundamentals and labor reporting.
Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Python/R, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent
CPIM certification desired.
