This is an on-site and full-time position in Waltham, MA. The Team 
The Alloy Genetic Medicines group is innovating a novel RNA-based drug discovery platform, namely “AntiClastic”, spanning the fields of antisense therapeutics to immunomodulating therapeutics. This technology platform was launched by Alloy in 2023 after exclusively licensing its underlying intellectual property which implements a novel spatial conformation of the oligonucleotide developed by Sudhir Agrawal of Arnay Sciences. The team works closely with external partners to discover and develop AntiClastic RNA medicines. 

The Role 
Alloy’s Genetic Medicine group is seeking multiple motivated postdoctoral Researchers to join its team in Waltham, MA. The postdoc positions are open to candidates who have recently graduated and whose research topic has been in the siRNA or CRISPR/Editing fields and could have one year of postdoctoral experience. Our research involves experiments with RNA biology, Oligonucleotide chemistry, Antisense and siRNA designs, Gene editing and mRNA Therapeutics.

How You’ll Drive Impact 
  • Improve : Learn and identify key questions in the RNA medicine area 
  • Innovate : Advance the platform for RNAi and gene editing applications  
  • Deliver : Design, execute, analyze, and interpret in vitro and in vivo experiments
  • Collaborate : Work closely with other members of the team to ensure studies are executed to meet scientific goals
Principal Responsibilities 
  • Work with the scientific leaders in the group to advance the platform to RNAi and Editing modalities
  • Design and conduct in vitro and in vivo studies to evaluate efficacy, PK/PD relationship with the goal of developing and optimizing the platform
  • Design and execute several molecular biology techniques including, but not limited to, nucleic acid isolation, RT-qPCR, western blots and ELISA 
  • Analyze data using GraphPad software and prepare presentation-ready images to effectively communicate experimental findings
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all experiments using the Benchling electronic notebook, ensuring meticulous documentation and data integrity.
  • Present data in scientific conferences and publish manuscripts in high-impact peer reviewed journals
Qualifications
  • A background in RNA Biology and a recent graduate with a PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related field 
  • Collaborative and self-motivated team player
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including both written and oral communication skill
  • Experience in oligonucleotide modalities (siRNA/Editing) is highly desirable

Pay Transparency
At Alloy Therapeutics, we believe in fostering trust and open communication. For this role, the estimated annual base salary range is $65,000 - $80,000, with the final offer based on factors like your experience, skills, and alignment with our needs.

Additionally, this role is eligible for equity compensation, reflecting our commitment to shared success as we work together to make better medicines.
