Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized wound care to patients in various healthcare settings.
• Assess and evaluate wounds to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Clean and dress wounds using aseptic technique.
• Monitor and document wound healing progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on wound care management and prevention strategies.
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
• Perform physical examinations to assess overall patient health.
• Utilize electronic medical record systems such as Cerner, eClinicalWorks, and ICD-10 coding.

Skills:

• Proficient in wound care techniques and procedures.
• Knowledge of acute care practices and protocols.
• Ability to perform procedures for patients with chronic wounds.
• Competent in medication administration and dosage calculations.
• Skilled in procedures for wound care purposes.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
• Strong understanding of aseptic technique to prevent infection.
