Our client in Plymouth Meeting Pa., is looking for a Pension Analyst to join their team. This is an in office, Direct Hire position with salary up to 65k and excellent benefits, which are listed at the bottom of the job description. This job would be ideal for a recent college grad with related intern or business experience or someone with 1-3 years of pension administration or actuarial analysis experience.
**Job Summary:**
The Pension Analyst is responsible for supporting the administration, analysis, and management of defined benefit pension plans. This role involves evaluating plan data, performing actuarial calculations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and assisting in the development of reporting and communication materials for plan participants.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Analyze pension plan data, including participant information, contributions, and benefit calculations.
- Assist in the preparation of actuarial valuations and funding calculations in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Support the administration of pension benefits, including calculations of retirement, survivor, and disability benefits.
- Ensure compliance with relevant pension legislation, accounting standards, and internal policies.
- Prepare and review reports for internal management, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with actuaries, administrators, and external consultants to ensure accurate plan management.
- Maintain and update pension plan documentation, including policies, procedures, and participant communications.
- Assist in the communication of plan changes and benefits to participants.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, or a related field. Or equivalent work experience
- Prior experience in pension administration, actuarial analysis, or related roles is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with pension software, and Excel.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
