The Nurse Manager (NM) is responsible for the management of nursing practice and operations on a designated unit/service setting such as inpatient, procedural, emergency department or ambulatory care. This includes, but is not limited to, the management of: clinical nursing practice, staff recruitment, retention, labor relations, supply chain and budget, staffing, employee performance evaluation, quality improvement, staff education, medical records, internal and external regulatory and survey requirements.
The Nurse Manager collaborates with multiple professionals to support and coordinate the provision / management of patient care. This individual works closely with the Nursing Clinical Director, unit Dyad partner and staff in insuring that the Service/Unit setting maintains the highest standards of patient care and is responsive to the needs of the patient & family as well as the organization.

Bachelor's of Science with a major in nursing is required
and a Master?s degree in nursing or a healthcare-related field, or be enrolled in a program required
Experience Requirements
5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience demonstrating solid management abilities in a Pediatric/Pediatric Cardiac ICU within a large academic medical center preferred.
Demonstrated leadership in leading unit development
Critical thinking and organizational skills are essential.
Experience with union environments preferred
3 years of Pediatric/Pediatric Cardiac ICU nursing experience required
Licensing and Certification Requirements (if applicable)
Licensed as a registered nurse, Issuing Agency: Department of Health/Office of Professions in the state of New York.
Child abuse certification is required
Infection control certification is required
Basic Life Support (BLS) Issuing Agency: AHA is required
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Issuing Agency: AHA (Required in ED; PACU; IR; Peds ICU, and APNs Pediatric Oncology depts.)
Professional Board Certification in leadership and/or clinical specialty is preferred.

The salary range for the role is $115494 - $173241 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need.
