Position Summary Performs various tests in the microbiology department of the clinical lab. Work encompasses abilities in discrimination between entities, correction of error, laboratory techniques, instruments, and confirmation of results using knowledge within specialty areas. May use knowledge consistent with interdependency of test results. Performs various degrees of quality control and instrument maintenance related activities. Performs various duties as assigned or required for the interdependent function of the section/laboratory. Job requires knowledge, skill, and ability to provide care for a neo-natal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric population.
