Job Description The role involves ensuring adherence to lab safety guidelines, creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and collaborating with production to test all incoming raw materials. Responsibilities + Adhere strictly to laboratory safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards. + Develop, revise, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in laboratory practices. + Collaborate cross-functionally with the production team to conduct comprehensive testing of all incoming raw materials. + Perform routine microbiological analyses, including detection of bacteria, yeast, and mold, as well as identity verification using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). + Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of all laboratory procedures, test results, and quality control activities. + Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and other departments to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement. Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree in Biology or Microbiology + Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). + Proficiency with FTIR testing. + Ability to create and write SOPs. + Experience in microbiology testing, including bacteria, yeast, mold, and identity testing using FTIR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
