Middle and High School Level Math Teachers Wanted for After-School Tutoring! 

Sylvan Learning of San Jose is looking for enthusiastic, dedicated teachers to inspire and help our students achieve academic excellence. We are currently looking for teachers who can tutor middle or high-school students in Math. We have 2 locations in San Jose - you can choose to work in either / both locations.

Sylvan creates individualized learning plans for students of all abilities. Working with well-behaved groups of up to 3 students, you will be responsible for leading instruction and motivating students to be successful. There is no lesson plan to create, no homework to grade, no parent-conferencing, and scheduling is flexible. Enjoy all of the benefits of teaching, without any of the downsides!

You must reside in or near San Jose for your resume to be reviewed. This is not a remote position.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
• Teaching / tutoring experience.
• A love for teaching Math.
• Being punctual is extremely important. You must be local and have reliable transportation.

HOW IT WORKS:

• Use pre-planned lessons - they are straightforward, easy to manage, and fun to teach.
• Teach students in a small group setting, with no more than 3 students per teacher.
• Motivate students of all ages to excel academically and develop a love of education.
• We are open for instruction Monday-Friday afternoons, and Saturday mornings
