Machinist

Fort Worth, TX

System One is currently seeking a Machinist on a 4-month contract-to-hire position located in Fort Worth, TX.

Machinist Responsibilities:

• The Machinist is responsible for production support functions such as machining of parts and tooling for the disassembly teams, assembly teams, and gear grinding operations
• The machinist will be responsible for the modification of parts to achieve assembly requirements
• Additional responsibilities will include tooling fabrication for production teams and engineering departments as well as developmental support for the engineering department
• Reports to the Production Supervisor
• Routine briefings on task status
• Support of assembly production needs
• Support of disassembly production needs
• Support of Gear Grinding needs
• Tooling modification and fabrication
• Proposals for tooling needed based on job requirements

Machinist Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Grinding Machine: 1 year (preferred)
• Experienced in Manual Machining
• Experienced in Manual Engine Lathes
• Experienced in Radial Drill Presses
• Experienced in Thread Tapping
• Understanding of tooling needs based on job requests and can put together purchase proposals
• Experienced in the use of calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and thread gauges
• Experienced in center-forming
• Working in tolerances of 0.0005”/0.010mm
• Experienced in Surface Grinders preferred
• Experienced working in metric units as well as English units preferred
• Demonstrates a solid understanding of General Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred
• Experienced working with parts weighing 300 lbs to 7,000 lbs preferred
• Experienced in crane and fork lift usage preferred
• Monday - Friday

Duration: 4-months/contract-to-hire

Location : Fort Worth, TX

Pay Rate : $22.00 - $27.00/HR
