We are currently seeking a highly qualified Litigation Associate to join our client's legal team in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. This is a full-time hybrid position, offering the flexibility of remote work combined with in-office collaboration. The ideal candidate will have 4 8 years of litigation experience, preferably with tenure at no more than one or two law firms, demonstrating stability and commitment in their legal career.
Position OverviewAs a Litigation Associate, you will play a pivotal role in managing complex litigation cases from inception through resolution. Your responsibilities will encompass legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, attending court proceedings, and engaging in client consultations. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Manage all aspects of case development, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
Represent clients in court hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members.
Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes.
Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedures.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active membership in the California State Bar.
4 8 years of litigation experience, with a preference for candidates who have been with no more than one or two firms.
Strong legal research and writing skills.
Proficiency in drafting legal documents and managing case files.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Effective communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Background in complex commercial litigation, product liability, or insurance defense.
Experience with electronic discovery and document management systems.
Familiarity with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
