Job Summary: Ocean Place Resort & Spa is seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team as Line Cooks. As a part of our dynamic culinary team, Line Cooks will be responsible for preparing and cooking various menu items to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation. This is a part-time, hourly position in our hospitality/restaurant department, located in Long Branch, New Jersey. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Ensure all food items are cooked to the appropriate temperature and visually appealing
• Assist in food preparation, such as chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and making sauces
• Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
• Clean and maintain work area and equipment
• Communicate effectively with team members and chefs to ensure a smooth and timely service
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications
• Assist in food inventory and ordering when needed
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management team

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience working as a Line Cook in a restaurant or hotel setting
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and recipes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining quality standards
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Culinary degree or certification is a plus
