Job Description

We are hoping to hire as soon as possible and would want this position to be filled for years to come. We are a couple barely in our 60s. We are very active especially with our grandkids who live locally. We are tired of keeping up our home and need help. We are looking for a 20-40 something woman that would become part of our family. The husband is a commercial pilot so most of the time it is just the wife at home. There are no pets. We live in a rural area, but we do live in a neighborhood. We have a 5 bedroom 3 ½ bath home but we are the only ones that live here full time, so cleaning of the entire house is not necessary all the time. We have two grown daughters that live locally with their husbands and children. We have lots of other relatives close by as well. We are Christians and live pretty conservative lives. We are big into family time and often get together for dinners or holidays with our big crew. We see our grandkids a few times a week usually. We will provide a very nice one-bedroom apartment that has a full kitchen and washer and dryer. The apartment is above our garage but has a separate entrance. Living in this apartment would be considered part of the compensation. Groceries that would be purchased together could possibly be part of the compensation as well. We would like the candidate to have their license and transportation if possible. We can work on those details together if needed. We are looking for a kind, fun and self-motivating candidate that will become part of our family. We are looking for an "Alice" like on Brady Bunch or Chessie on the Parent Trap . We want to include them in our family activities (if they want). We would like them to go on vacation with us and continue their duties but would arrange days off as well so they could enjoy the area or adventure. The duties would include regular cleaning of all aspects of our home as well as laundry. Cooking duties would include dinner and sometimes lunch. Occasional snack preparation would also be appreciated. When we have big family dinners or a party or guests over, dinner would be the candidate's responsibility. However, the wife enjoys cooking and most of the time she would be handling these duties and would only require prep assistance and clean-up help. Shopping could be determined together. There will be ongoing responsibilities that the couple may help with like window washing or other occasional cleanings that happen yearly. Some occasional duties would be oven cleaning, cleaning of the ceiling light fixtures, cleaning baseboards and ceiling fans, etc. We often travel throughout the year so there would be the opportunity to stay on site with very little responsibilities or to return to your "home" area for a visit. These would be paid time periods as well. We could work out other times that you would need off if necessary. Honestly, for the right candidate this would be a great opportunity. The hours will be from about 10 am to 6 pm, 6 days a week but there will be lots of break opportunities. We anticipate there will be opportunities for someone to pursue college courses or possibly another part time job or the opportunity to clean our daughter's homes as well. Or just have time to relax and refresh. All these details can be worked out. We are very easy-going and friendly. This is a new experience for us and we are willing to work with someone on the details. Let's start talking and see if this situation is a good fit for all of us.
