Job Description and Duties

The Secretary of State’s Management Services Division is recruiting to fill a permanent, full-time Associate Governmental Program Analyst position to perform a variety of functions for an exciting and fast-paced organization.Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I (Supervisor), the incumbent will perform a variety of difficult and complex technical and analytical work in the Business Services Section of the Secretary of State’s Office. Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Acts as a lead in tasks related to support and oversight of facility needs of the SOS headquarter office.
  • Acts as contract manager of SOS with on-going facility operational support contracts for headquarter offices, to include moving services, equipment preventative maintenance and support, by monitoring required contract activities, scheduling preventative maintenance visits, repair appointments and coordinating with the Department of General Services (DGS) and Security for access needed to secure areas of the building.
  • In-state travel may be required, up to 10%.
  • Participate in special projects and work groups as assigned.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have knowledge and experience in facility related topics. Experience in lease management preferred.
  • Candidates must have knowledge and experience related to the steps of project management or completed staff work.
  • Candidates must have the ability to analyze and provide detailed recommendations based on established criteria.
  • Candidates must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Candidates must have excellent organization and ability to coordinate with other staff to complete collaborative tasks; act independently using sound judgment.
  • Candidates must have at least an intermediate skill level on office PC software, to include Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Microsoft Outlook that directly impact assignments and be willing to learn new programs as they are incorporated in the Business Services operations.
  • Knowledge of contracting and/or procurement is desired but not required.
  • Punctuality and good attendance are essential.
