Love working the tandoor? IndAroma is looking for a skilled Tandoor Chef / Line Chef to join our kitchen crew! We’re all about bold flavors, great vibes, and celebrating the magic of Indian cuisine.

IndAroma is a top-rated Indian caterer in the DMV area, known for fusing authentic flavors with modern presentation. We’re a fast-growing team looking for passionate chefs who take pride in their craft.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Primary location of work will be Alexandria, VA
• Cooking delicious naan, kabobs, tikkas, and more in a traditional tandoor
• Prepping marinades and keeping flavors on point
• Support general line cooking and prep work as needed
• Act as expo during service—organizing tickets, checking plates, managing communication between kitchen and service
• Working closely with our team to deliver high-quality food, every time
• Helping out with weekend events and catering gigs

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on tandoor cooking experience
• Strong knowledge of Indian spices, marinades, and tandoor techniques
• Strong cooking fundamentals and experience working a busy line
• Culinary degree from IHM or equivalent preferred
• A team player who thrives in a busy kitchen
• Weekend availability is required
  

Perks & Details:

• Full-time role, 6 days a week
• Weekends required
• Pay options: $70,000–$85,000/year OR $24–$27/hour , depending on experience
