### Commercial Multiple Peril (CMP) Underwriter - HYBRID
Location: Anaheim, CA (Hybrid after 90 days - 3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Salary: $26-32 per hour
⏳ Position Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Reports to: Deputy Branch Manager

### About the Role:
We're looking for an Entry-Level Commercial Multiple Peril (CMP) Underwriter to join our underwriting team. This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates or those with some insurance experience who are eager to grow their careers. In this role, you'll assist in evaluating and underwriting commercial risks while developing your expertise in risk assessment and coverage determination.
### What You'll Do:
✔ Assist in analyzing commercial property and liability risks for new business submissions
✔ Gather and review necessary documentation to assess risks accurately
✔ Support senior underwriters in evaluating applications, determining coverage, and setting premiums
✔ Prepare underwriting files and documentation for approval
✔ Communicate with brokers and agents to gather information and clarify submissions
✔ Respond to inquiries about coverage options and underwriting guidelines
✔ Stay up to date on industry trends, regulations, and emerging risks in commercial insurance
### What We're Looking For:
✅ Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field
✅ Experience: 1+ year of commercial underwriting experience preferred, particularly with CMP products
✅ Skills & Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of commercial property and casualty insurance principles
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Google Workspace
### Bonus Points If You Have:
➕ Professional designations such as CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) or AU (Associate in Underwriting)
➕ Experience working in a multi-state environment and familiarity with state-specific regulations
