  • Prior military/law enforcement experience highly desired
  • ASIS CPP (Certified Protection Professional) required
  • 5 years' experience in the security management field with at least 3 years in charge of a security function in a highly matrixed, multi-location organization
  • Ability to demonstrate security principles and practices, investigations, personnel security, information security and crisis management.
  • This role is 100% REMOTE with up to 25% travel


Purpose And Scope

In conjunction with management staff, will determine the initiatives, priorities, and ultimate goals for these particular organizational functions. Recognizes and embraces the importance of providing sound, thoughtful leadership to all employees and in all directions within the company. A component of this leadership will be the continuous evaluation of the personnel and teams with respect to performance, continuous improvement and development and overall quality. Utilizes knowledge of our Quality Systems, in accordance with FDA Quality System Regulation, ISO 13485 and Safety Program in performing daily activities.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, directs, and controls facility administration, maintenance and safety/environmental compliance functions in alignment with priorities, goals, and production schedules established by executive leadership.
  • Coordinates maintenance and facilities activities to adhere to the quality system.
  • Coordinates maintenance activities to maintain the preventive maintenance program for process equipment including manufacturing and testing equipment.
  • Develops and monitors internal and external metrics to identify opportunities to improve performance.
  • Maintains clean and orderly work areas in compliance with safety guidelines, verifying all necessary tools and supplies are available.
  • Maintains personnel daily schedules, attendance, actions, permits and absences.
  • Coordinates training and compliance activities related to safety and to environment permitting and compliance.
  • Coordinates activities to maintain and improve facilities with SORB maintenance, service contractors and facility landlord OKC airport trust.
  • Manages and provides leadership to the various teams through multiple priorities and projects in parallel.
  • Regularly evaluates the performance of each member of the team and provide candid and constructive feedback.
  • Actively identifies professional development and improvement opportunities for the team.
  • Proactively cultivates a culture of excellence, collaboration, and teamwork throughout area of responsibility.
  • Holds team to a high level of commitment to continuous improvement in processes, materials, products, experimentation, etc.
  • Contributes at a high level on cross-functional teams within the organization locally and abroad.

  • Establishes operations objectives and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
  • Develops, modifies, and executes company policies that affect immediate operations, with potential company-wide effect.
  • Reviews and complies with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Ensures all employees within the assigned team(s) understand and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations; establishing and maintaining effective internal systems and controls to promote compliance.
  • Provides leadership, guidance and coaching for all direct reports to maintain an engaged and productive workforce; partnering with Human Resources on employee matters.
  • Assists with various projects as assigned.

  • While performing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is required to work in an office, laboratory and manufacturing environment. Day to day work includes interaction with Quality Assurance, Chemical Production, Cartridge Manufacturing and Sorbent Engineering. Capable of lifting 35 lbs. May be exposed to excessive noise, vibration, corrosive/caustic/reactive chemicals, machinery/moving vehicles, compressed gases, dusts, flammable solvents and some periods of standing and repetitive tasks. Capable of working on elevated work platforms.

  • Responsible for the direct supervision of various levels of Facilities, Health & Safety staff.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Advanced Degree preferred.


Experience And Required Skills

  • 6+ years of related experience; 3+ years of experience in a management role.
  • Experience working within a quality system in an FDA regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP and GLP requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently and successfully lead multiple teams or projects in parallel.
  • High degree of proficiency with interpreting, managing and organizing data from multiple sources.
  • Demonstrated ability to write and review technical protocols, procedures and reports in a thorough manner.
  • Proven ability to convey clearly formulated results and conclusions to employees in all directions.
  • Proven track record of continuous innovation and improvement with ability to develop and maintain metrics.
  • Excellent communication skills such as verbal, written, persuasion and consensus building.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an engineering environment with focus on cross-functional collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with governing bodies to maintain environmental permits.
  • Knowledge of general OSHA guidelines and safety programs. Works with internal and external sources to maintain annual training requirements and safety regulations.
  • Must be able to communicate technical information effectively to team members of varying skill and background as well as to site management. Must be able to work effectively in a cross-functional team, including frequent interface with quality system personnel.
  • Must be able to work effectively and communicate with external suppliers, vendors and corporate personnel.
