Job Description
Location : Flint, MI (Hybrid)
Domain : Hospital and Healthcare
Duration : Full time
Pay Range : $110K annually with benefits
Required:
Bachelor's degree in business, health care, or related field; or an Associate degree and two years experience in managed care; or a high school diploma or equivalent and four (4) years' experience in managed care.
An additional five (5) years of experience in contracting or networking in a managed care organization, Health Plan, PHO, PO, or similar organization.
Preferred:
Master's degree in health care management, finance, or related field.
Two (2) years experience with plan and provider contracting with both Facility and Professional.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience analyzing, understanding, and communicating the financial impact of contract terms, payment structures, and reimbursement rates to providers.
Negotiation skills, including an in-depth understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies.
Able to establish relationships with Health Plans, and other Industry Professionals.
Proficient in identifying and solving problems with minimal direction.
Influential and persuasive in interacting with medical providers, medical office staff, hospital/facility medical and administrative staff, and payors/health plans.
Able to organize and prioritize workload.
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications.
Communications: communicates verbally and in writing in a positive, consistent, enthusiastic, and open-minded approach with all internal and external customers.
Exhibits skill in communicating complex information at a level of understanding for the appropriate intended recipients.
Decision Making : uses independent judgment by keeping the organization's mission, vision, and values at the forefront. Works independently in a self-directed, non-confrontational, collaborative manner.
Planning/Organization : shows organizational skills through effective planning and delegating.
