**Job Title: Construction Laborer** **Job Description** The construction laborer will be responsible for monitoring hot work areas to detect and prevent any sparks, slag, or heat sources from starting a fire. They are required to remain on site for 30 minutes after completion of any welding or cutting operations to detect or extinguish potential smoldering. **Responsibilities** + Station near hot work areas to detect and prevent fires. + Monitor for sparks, slag, and heat sources. + Remain on site for 30 minutes post-welding or cutting to check for smoldering. + Extinguish any potential fire risks. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in MIG welding techniques. + Experience with MIG welder operations. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Strong observational skills. + Effective communication abilities. + Knowledge of environmental conditions and weather awareness. + Understanding of fire behavior. + Attention to detail. + Safety awareness. + Ability to work well in a team. **Work Environment** The position is based at Sam's Club, working night shifts from 9pm to 7am, Sunday through Thursday, with a 30-minute meal break.
