Who We Are

At First Call Computer Solutions, we’re building something better. As Montana’s leading MSP/MSSP, we’re driven by a clear purpose: to strengthen organizations through predictable, advisable IT and cybersecurity solutions—while adding value to the lives and futures of others. We believe in clarity, accountability, and teamwork. And we’re growing.

Your Role

As our CIO and VP of IT Services, you will shape and drive the strategic direction of our Managed IT and Professional Services practices. You’ll lead a team of service managers, define and enforce technology and service standards, align our solutions with the right-fit client profile, and partner with Sales and Marketing to fuel sustainable growth. Your leadership will ensure that service quality and profitability are not competing goals—but complementary outcomes.

This role is ideal for a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who can drive service excellence, champion innovation, and scale a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service Strategy & Portfolio Ownership: Develop and maintain a relevant, competitive, and profitable IT service portfolio aligned with our ideal customer profile.
  • Technology Standards & Client Alignment: Define and drive the tech stack that clients must adopt to maximize productivity, minimize risk, and align with our service model.
  • Operational & Financial Accountability: Meet gross margin goals through effective resourcing, service delivery, and standardization.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead and coach direct reports across Triage, Support, Professional Services, and Technology Alignment.
  • Sales & Marketing Collaboratio: Act as a subject matter expert in pre-sales; support marketing and lead generation efforts through thought leadership and event participation.
  • Voice of the Customer & Continuous Improvement: Engage with key clients and participate in the 360 customer reviews to identify risks, opportunities, and service evolution.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You...

  • Have a strong sense of ownership over outcomes—but know how to delegate effectively.
  • Are a builder who thrives in aligning people, process, and technology around shared goals.
  • Balance strategic insight with practical implementation—thinking long-term while acting short-term.
  • Are energized by collaboration, not competition, with other leaders in Sales, Security, Finance, and Marketing.
  • See client relationships not as transactions, but as long-term partnerships that require care, structure, and results.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 15+ years in IT with both management and leadership experience, preferably within a Managed Services Provider (MSP).
  • Proven success in team leadership, P&L responsibility, and service portfolio development.
  • Strong understanding of MSP technologies (RMM, PSA, CSP, cloud, VoIP).
  • Familiarity with modern service delivery methodologies spanning triage, support, auditing, project lifecycle management.
  • Track record of driving client satisfaction, service quality, coaching / developing others, and gross margin performance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Computers, Information Systems, or related field
  • Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or other relevant industry credentials.
  • Experience participating in peer groups, events, or thought leadership forums.

Benefits

  • Pay: $120,000 to $140,000 DOE
  • Rich and flexible medical/dental with a Health Savings Account option.
  • Paid Vacation, Sick and Holiday time
  • Retirement: 401k with 4% match and discretionary profit sharing.

  • Team bonding events
  • Work-life balance\flexibility
  • Travel / Driver License Required: Yes
