Business Development Associate – Commercial Construction Location: Houston, TX
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $55,000–$65,000 base salary
Total Compensation: $70,000–$90,000+ with performance-based bonus of up to 10% of salart
About the Role: We’re looking for a driven, curious, and relationship-focused Business Development Associate to help grow one of the most respected commercial contractors in Texas. You’ll be part of a team that works hard, supports one another, and takes pride in doing things the right way.
This is not a remote role. You’ll be on the ground, building real relationships and driving sales activity through events, campaigns, lead generation, and good old-fashioned hustle.

What You’ll Do: - Identify and develop relationships with potential customers and partners
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of leads and project opportunities
- Generate outbound activity through research, email, and phone outreach
- Qualify inbound leads and help accelerate the sales cycle
- Represent the company at networking events, trade shows, webinars, and conferences
- Communicate the company’s value and offerings clearly and professionally
- Collaborate with marketing to develop and support campaigns and events
- Track activity and manage leads using CRM and reporting tools
- Assist with presentations, proposals, and quote preparation
- Support fulfillment of marketing materials and project documentation
- Handle other duties as needed in support of the sales and marketing team
What You Bring: - Bachelor’s degree
- 1–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a customer-facing role
- Strong communication skills—verbal and written
- Professional, organized, and proactive with a high level of integrity
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently
- Skilled in MS Office and CRM/sales support tools
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs, working outdoors, and occasionally climbing ladders or scaffolding
- Willingness to travel to training events or regional functions as needed
- This role is not remote
