NOBU, the world-renowned Japanese Restaurant, is hiring for its Midtown location , Nobu Fifty-Seven . We are seeking highly motivated and energetic professionals to join our team.

 

Applicants must have 2+ years’ Bar Manager experience.

Applicants must have 3+ years’ experience working in a high-volume, upscale restaurant.

The ideal candidate in this position must thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, maintaining a courteous demeanor with our guests. Strong leadership and personnel management skills should be accompanied by a commitment to company values and image. The B ar M anager pays close attention to all operational details to ensure the comfort, safety and enjoyment of guests and job satisfaction of staff, as well as the financial success of the establishment.

 

 

Scope of work includes, but not limited to the following:

 

• Recruit, interview, hire, schedule and train bar staff

• Interact with guests to develop loyalty , and exercise great guest relations

• Responsible for daily operations of the restaurant

• Work with liquor vendors to develop new productions or promotions for the bar

• Work with the bar team to curate Nobu style cocktails for the menu

• Set and maintain standards for safe food handling, cleanliness and safety compliant with DOH

• Negotiate with vendors, order supplies, manage inventories

• Review sales and beverage costs and reconcile any discrepancies in accounting. Ensure proper

cash management.

• Res olve guest complaints promptly and according to the company ’s guest recovery guidelines.

• Oversee the preparation of beverages and ensure the quality of product served.

• Extensive working knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

• Knowledge of local and state regulations related to alcohol service and health code compliance.

• Knowledge of basic accounting principles, personnel management and marketing

• Able to meet deadlines of the restaurant’s season activations and administrative tasks

 

Compensation: $85,000 - $90,000 per year
