Location: 100% Remote

Duration : 6 months

Note :: W2 Role only . Candidate must reside in EST Zone

Job Description:

We are hiring multiple Cloud AI Software Engineers who has actually built AI/ML applications-not just read about them. You will operate as a trusted advisor in a hands-on capacity for the development of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, fine-tuning LLMs, and AWS-native microservices that drive automation, insight, and governance in an enterprise environment. You'll design and deliver scalable, secure services that bring large language models into real operational use-connecting them to live infrastructure data, internal documentation, and system telemetry.

You'll be part of a high-impact team pushing the boundaries of cloud-native AI in a real-world enterprise setting. This is not a prompt-engineering sandbox or a resume keyword trap. If you've merely dabbled in SageMaker, mentioned RAG on LinkedIn, or read about vector search-this isn't the right fit. We're looking for candidates who have architected, developed, and supported AI/ML services in production environments.

These are builder roles within our Public Cloud AWS Engineering team. We aren't hiring buzzword lists or conference attendees. If you've built something you're proud of-especially if it involved real infrastructure, real data, and real users-we'd love to talk. If you're still learning, that's great too-but this isn't an entry-level role or a theory-only position.

AWS Cloud Engineer I

Key Responsibilities

• Hands-on role responsible for implementing and maintaining new features within public cloud infrastructure.
• Lead the design and development of scalable Terraform modules, promoting infrastructure as code and advancing our cloud strategy.
• Build cloud-native services to support application teams and contribute to the development of cloud infrastructure automation.
• Automate processes while achieving operational excellence, ensuring systems are maintainable and scalable.
• Support application teams in leveraging cloud products and services, enhancing internal customer experiences.
• Participate in communities of practice by contributing to and following standards, reviewing others code, and sharing knowledge.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for the team to reference and share with our internal customers.
• Provide technical support to regulatory agencies, external auditors, and internal auditors, as required, to respond to audits and examinations of the Bank's control environment.
• Mentor and develop the skills of junior team members through coaching and training.

Required Qualifications:

• 5 years of hands-on devops engineering experience with a strong focus on Python.
• Experience Sentinel Policy has Code in production environment.
• Experience with AWS organizations and policy guardrails (SCP, AWS Config)
• Demonstrated understanding of Infrastructure as Code best practices and strong experience with building complex Terraform modules.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and scripting
• Basic knowledge of SDLC and agile methodologies
• Experience with Git, AWS serverless technologies, containerized workloads and Jenkins orchestration is a plus
• Experience deploying production applications into cloud environments, AWS certification(s) is a plus
• Financial industry experience is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS or relevant cloud certifications
• Data science background or experience working with structured/unstructured data
• Exposure to FinOps and cloud cost optimization
• Policy as Code development (I.e. Terraform Sentinel)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Advanced certifications or specialized training.
