Assistant Golf Professional
Resort in Kissimmee, Florida is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.
Position Overview:
Help direct and oversee the management of daily golf functions, ensures resort guest and member satisfaction while maintaining high visibility. Provide accurate and effective daily records to assist the Lead Assistant and Head Professional/Director of Golf with reporting to supervisors and management. Helps with all other aspects of golf for resort guests and events as needed. Strives for the highest quality customer service and overall experience to members/guests.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Assists the Lead Assistant and Head Golf Professional/Director of Golf in daily business record keeping, tee time management and efficient labor usage
• Provides golf lessons and instruction to members and guests.
• Assist in management of outing and tournaments from start to finish, including participation in preparation meetings and communicates to departments as directed or assigned.
• Assists customers by providing, enforcing and interpreting golf policies, rules and regulations.
• The ability to assumes Lead Assistant Golf Professional duties in his or her absence
• Ability to use USGA handicap system and golf genius as needed to promote the best golf/tournament experience possible for members and guests.
• Discuss ideas for new golf tournaments/formats/events to enhance member and guest participation.
• Communicate and discuss ideas and/or concerns with policies, procedures, guests, members, teaching, etc.
• Interacts positively with staff, guests, community members, and visitors to ensure customer satisfaction and goodwill.
• Responsible for professional marking of the courses for member golf events. If necessary personally mark courses for any member or guest event.
• Understand the conditions of the course(s) thru frequent conversation and visual inspection.
• Professionally represents and promotes the Resort to various media, businesses, local community organizations, and/or the general public.
• Act as a role model and mentor when possible for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all leaders and team members.
• Attends all golf committee meetings as needed.
• Performs other related functions as needed by the Head Golf Professional or Director of Golf & Course Maintenance.
• Additional duties may be assigned as business demands.
Requirements:
At least 1 year as an Assistant Golf Professional.
The ideal candidate will have proficient knowledge in Golf Genius, EZ Suite/EZ Tee, and all Microsoft programs.
Compensation:
$19.00 per hour.
