The New York Military Academy (NYMA) is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Admissions Officer to join our team. As a historic and prestigious military academy, NYMA offers a unique educational environment that combines rigorous academics with military discipline. We are looking for a professional who is passionate about education, possesses excellent sales skills, and is committed to NYMA;s mission.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the admissions process from inquiry through enrollment.
Conduct tours of the academy for prospective students and their families.
Develop and maintain relationships with prospective students, parents, and
educational consultants.
Organize and participate in recruitment events, both on and off-campus,
including local and some international travel which will be scheduled ahead of
time.
Assess applications, conduct interviews, and make admission recommendations.
Collaborate with marketing to develop strategies to attract new students.
Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
Travel Requirements:
The Admissions Officer may be required to travel locally or internationally for
purposes related to recruitment and admissions. All travel must be coordinated
with the Academy’s administration in advance.
Travel is expected to constitute up to 20% of the total working hours. The
Academy will provide support and coordination for such travel, ensuring that the
Admissions Officer has the necessary resources and information for successful
trips.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in education, marketing, business administration, or
related field. Master degree is preferred
• Experience in admissions or student services is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent sales skills and a proactive, self-initiated approach to work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Familiarity with military education environments is a plus.
• Belief in and commitment to the mission of NYMA.
Visa Sponsorship:
NYMA is open to sponsoring an H1B visa or a green card depending on the
qualifications of the candidate.
